8 Important Gamescom Tips
Gamescom every year! To make your visit to the biggest games fair as pleasant as possible, I have put together 8 Gamescom tips for you.
1. Plan properly
So many titles and you want to see them all in one day. Unfortunately, that's not the case at Gamescom! Over 350,000 people attended the trade fair last year and they all had the same goal: to play the latest titles. That's why you should choose one or two titles per day, because the waiting times can be incredibly long.
2. Visit the Indie Booth
If you don't want to sit in line for hours and just want to play something, you should visit the Indie Booth. There's a lot going on here, but the indie developers are happy when you want to play their games - which they've worked hard on. You can also find very individual game concepts here and there's something for almost every taste!
3. Bring employment
You definitely don't want to wait three hours for a triple A title and be bored to death. So bring handheld consoles or card games with you so you can pass the time alone or with friends. If you don't have either or don't want to bring them, just download games for your mobile phone.
4. Drink enough
It is preached again and again, but almost no one thinks about it. Gamescom takes place in August and it is known to be very hot that month. So do something good for yourself and your circulation and drink plenty of water. You can also bring a bottle with you and fill it up regularly.
5. If possible - avoid the weekend
As is well known, there is a lot going on at Gamescom at the weekend, which is understandable. But if you have the opportunity and can visit the fair during the week, then take advantage of it. You won't have to wait in line forever, perhaps only for half an eternity. And strolling through the fair isn't as tiring, as there are fewer people around.
6. Age wristbands are also available in halls
There are long queues at the entrance to collect your wristbands. Fortunately, there are stands like this in the halls and you don't even have to wait there (depending on the day of the week and time of day). So don't stress, have your ID ready and get your wristbands in the halls.
7. Have enough money for the merch
If you want to seize the opportunity and plan an extensive merchandise shopping tour, you should bring enough money with you, preferably in cash. Many stalls accept card payments, but there are also some that do not offer this option.
8. Consider the offer
Large electronics stores are launching discount campaigns to coincide with Gamescom. It's worth checking online or in person to find a great bargain.
Those were the 8 Gamescom tips and now I wish you lots of fun!
