preparation
- Melt the butter and allow to cool briefly. Mix the eggs with the sugar and vanilla sugar and stir in the melted butter. Mix the hazelnuts, flour, baking cocoa and baking powder well and fold into the liquid ingredients. Finally, stir in the sour cream briefly. Divide the dough into 12 muffin cases and bake in the preheated oven for 20-30 minutes (use a toothpick to test).
- In the meantime, whip the chilled cream with the vanilla sugar until stiff.
- After the muffins have cooled, hollow them out with a small spoon to a size of approx. 3x2 cm. Fill the hollow with approx. 2 teaspoons of cherry compote, spread with approx. 2 teaspoons of the prepared whipped cream and cover with the muffin crumbs.
- Cut small gravestones out of the wafers. Write RIP on them using a dark chocolate pen (available in the baking department) or with dark melted chocolate and place them on the muffins.
And that's it! The Halloween muffin recipe is perfect for a cozy autumn afternoon or a baking experience with friends or children.
