Harry Potter Wands - Severus Snape & Newt Scamander
Magic wands are an elementary part of the Harry Potter universe and they are also an essential component in one collection or another.
When I bought my first magic wand a few years ago, I wanted to have a symbolic, beautiful and emotional experience behind it. It might sound a bit cheesy, but what would have been more fitting than the first visit to the Harry Potter Studio Tour!
The first wand in my mini collection is Severus Snape's. Snape has always fascinated me in his own way and has become my absolute favorite character. When I stood in front of all the wands, I was delighted that his wand had extremely elegant features. Don't get me wrong, all wands have a great design, but for my taste, the simplicity with the few elements on the handle was just right.
At the time, I was also very surprised that the rods were relatively heavy and high quality. Some collector's items, no matter which universe they come from, are very cheaply produced for their price and look that way too. Fortunately, that is not the case in this case, as the plastic is cast using a special cold-casting process.
Here you can see the great pieces of jewelry in all their elegance and with a few key facts.

Length: 34cm
A few days ago, two friends gave me a second wand, Newt Scamander's. Alongside Jacob Kowalski, Newt is also my undisputed number 1 in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.
I think that this design captures the character of the protagonist even more accurately than Snape. It is beautifully simple, has a few notches that an animal might have left with its teeth now and then, a small area that is highlighted in turquoise and, last but not least, a shell at the end of the wand.

So, that's a little insight into my wand collection. It's tiny, but just right because it only contains my absolute favorites and I appreciate them all the more because of that.
I can only recommend anyone who is thinking about getting a magic wand to do so. The price-performance ratio is right and they look amazing!
And don’t forget to wag your tail and shake it!
