Escape Game Munich - We Have To Get Out Of Here, But How?

Just a few months ago, I was firmly convinced that I never, ever wanted to visit an escape room. My fear of failure was too great. But surprisingly, my two attempts to escape from the rooms were successful.
Alex and I, as well as our three companions, mastered our second escape room this week and want to share our experiences with you.

Attention, this post is spoiler-FREE !

Escape with Brains

Our first room was The Magician at Escape Game Munich and we were really impressed! At first we were completely overwhelmed as to how to even begin, but we gradually got into the swing of things. Team spirit is really important here, because no one would manage it alone or it would take forever. After all, we are not Leonard Hofstadters or Sheldon Coopers.
Although you have to think logically during the game and may be in a bit of a emotional turmoil, it is definitely a lot of fun and can quickly become a hobby. It's sport without moving around much and the feeling of success is indescribable!

Escape Game Munich

This week we played The Art of Stealing at Escape Game Munich and it must be said that a lot of effort is put in every time, because the previous rooms were not easy. Although we managed to get through 15 minutes before the time limit ran out both times, we had to work really hard. But that's what makes a great escape room, anyone can do it easily!
The Escape Game Munich process is as follows: Before you start, important things are explained, such as that you shouldn't pull on anything or that you don't need to be afraid of not being able to get out. Then a short story - appropriate to the room - is told and then you get started.
The 60-minute game time begins as soon as the door closes behind the group and then you have to puzzle it out. The game ends when you have reached the room's specified goal.

In addition to The Magician and The Art of Stealing, there are other escape rooms in Munich:

  • The Haunted House
  • The End Times Laboratory
  • The Revenge of Tutankhamun
  • The Castle Dungeon
  • The Safecrackers
  • The Chinese Casket
  • At the Secret Service
  • In the Psycho Trap
  • The Prison Plot
  • In the misery
  • The Witch

And since January, Saw has been a brand new addition! Yes, we are talking about the horror series here and although I am not a fan of it, we will of course explore that space too. You know, I never say no to horror!
Those who live near Augsburg will also get their money's worth. There are two rooms there too: The Abandoned Orphanage and Mission Moonlight .
