Slytherin Cosplay - The Student From The House of Slytherin
This week my sister and I had a relatively spontaneous idea, which we implemented very quickly. I had been thinking about this little shoot for a while, but I wanted to have it photographed last fall. Sometimes things don't work out right away, and this time I'm very happy about it, because thanks to the weather, the Slytherin cosplay photos turned out particularly authentic.
A few memories
Funnily enough, the cosplay consists of 75% clothes that I often wear in everyday life. Except for the tights. I don't like tights. The highlights or rather the items that make up a Slytherin student have a very special value for me. We already talked about the wand in another blog post and of course Snape's wand was the only thing that suited the shoot.
Shortly before we left, I was a little worried about the cloak, but it had already survived a typhoon rain. It was a souvenir from my vacation in Japan. I had fulfilled a big wish and visited Hogwarts and Hogsmeade in Universal Studios Osaka . The visit was partly a washout - literally, as the skies only gave us heavy rain that day - but I am very grateful for this experience.
I received the scarf as a gift from dear Alex a few years ago. The homemade monster book of monsters was a birthday present from his sister. A big thank you to both of them for this!
My Relationship with Slytherin
I've been listening to the Harry Potter audiobooks a lot lately and I have to say that I sometimes wonder if I'm really a Slytherin . I would be as proud as punch if I could do magic. No question about it! But I'm not cunning at all. I'm a mixture of the other three houses, but maybe we should find out which one it would be...
Most likely it is my boundless loyalty to Professor Snape that somehow draws me to the house. In my opinion, however, you shouldn't tar everyone with the same brush. That's why there are 100% nice Slytherins .
It's definitely a lot of fun to shoot a few costumes every now and then and let's see if there will be a "homemade" Slytherin cosplay at some point. But unfortunately that's still up in the air. A big thank you goes out to my sister for this shoot because she did a great job behind the camera!
I wish you a great Sunday!
